Join the kitchen team at IBAI, our 1 Michelin-starred restaurant in San Sebastián – Donostia. We are looking for a talented Chef de Partie to lead the preparation of the pintxos served at our iconic bar and become part of a team driven by culinary excellence, creativity and respect for exceptional ingredients.
A day in the life
As Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of the daily preparation and presentation of the pintxos served at our iconic bar, ensuring every creation reflects the quality, precision and creativity that define IBAI.
Working closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen team, you will play a key role in delivering a unique dining experience by showcasing the very best seasonal ingredients and celebrating the essence of Basque gastronomy through our pintxos offering.
This is a full-time, permanent position with immediate start, offering an excellent work-life balance with Monday to Friday service and weekends off.
Responsibilities
- ·Lead the daily preparation and presentation of the pintxos served at our iconic bar.
- ·Ensure every dish is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation
- ·Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver an exceptional culinary experience
- ·Maintain excellent organization and efficiency throughout every service
- ·Monitor stock levels and ensure the correct handling and storage of ingredients
- ·Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
- ·Contribute ideas and continuously strive for excellence in execution
Must have
- ·Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a fine dining or gastronomic kitchen
- ·Strong knowledge of professional cooking techniques
- ·Passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and meticulous attention to detail
- ·Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- ·Flexibility, commitment and a proactive attitude
- ·Applicants must be EU citizens or hold a valid visa/work permit allowing them to work legally in Spain
Nice to have
- ·Experience in Michelin-starred restaurants is highly desirable
