Champagne Tasting at Amelia
An exclusive champagne experience at Amelia, San Sebastián.

Amelia hosted a tasting dedicated to Champagne as a wine for the table — for reflection and shared enjoyment rather than ceremony. Gathered around the bar and the open kitchen, professionals from across the San Sebastián dining scene came together to exchange perspectives on both renowned maisons and lesser-known growers.
The session was led by Mariana Tapia, Amelia's Wine Director, and brought together guests from a number of the region's kitchens and cellars. The conversation turned on Champagne's versatility, its capacity to accompany an entire menu, and the balance it holds between tradition, identity and evolution.
It was, above all, a calm and open exchange — one in which dialogue and shared curiosity were as essential as the wines in the glass.
